need a ton of help

ok guys im sorry for being a super noob but i just started playing and im immediately lost >.<

i dont even know my characters gender its that bad...

so i clicked on play ragnarok after downloading, so i know its not classic.

im on what im assuming is the chaos server

im trying to kill stuff for the beginners board quest and im finding one monster of the stuff i have to kill every like 5 minutes once it decides to spawn.

should i play the renewel or the classic or what?

i know the 2 classes i really wanna try are shadow chaser and the later ninja one and i wanna be a male character

any help or a link to a beginner's guide that isnt like 4 years outdated would be awesome!

thanks so much for your understanding

EDIT: also is the game really bugged? i sometimes wont move when i click on a spot to move even if its right next to me
