Regressive Left -- Credit where credit is due

Well, as you may remember, I'm a Men's Rights Advocate (MRA). I have often been critical of David's work, but I give him credit when I believe he deserves it. I wanted to talk about David's recent bit on the Regressive Left.

I think he was being very fair in his explanation of the entire situation. I think he used great examples including Sam Harris, Bill Maher, and many of the others. This topic is so incredibly important, and I'm so happy that this is starting to be considered in a real way from the media outlets like The David Pakman Show.

You know, growing up I always considered myself a Leftist and Democrat. Then something happened. Specifically a few years ago, I started realizing I wasn't so Left. There were all of these Regressives that make up a sizable portion of the Left. So I started identifying as a Leftist Democrat Centrist. Then I tried to go to Left-leaning Centrist. Eventually, I was so disappointed by where things were headed in the media, within the Democrat Party, and the support the Regressive Left was getting from other Leftists that I started self-identifying as only a Centrist. There are a lot of other people changing their Leftist designation and self-identifying as other terms. We refuse to be grouped in with the Regressives.

This kind of conversation that David is pumping out gives me hope that some day my views will be considered Leftist again. I mean, after all, I feel that I didn't move much, the political scale shifted. My main hope now (outside of this conversation continuing) is that some day the Left realizes that Liberalism is believing in freedom and equality for all, which means that solving the issues of men and boys should be Leftist issues. Unfortunately, today we can't talk about that within the Left with any sort of support. So we'll see what happens, but this is the first election I'm voting Republican and I was pushed that way by the Regressives and the support the Regressives get from Liberals. We need to stop disengaging with people just because someone else attaches a label like "racist", "sexist", "xenophobe", or "bigot", because simply having that term attached to oneself doesn't make the term accurate.

Anyways, thanks for waking up. I hope you continue great coverage like this.
