[TOMT]A rhyming couplet illustrating the cyclical nature of life

The premise is something along the lines of "there's always a bigger fish'', or ''as X does to Y so Y does to Z''. Possibly involves animals? I have the meter stuck in my head but can't remember the words and it's driving me nuts!
