Chrome freezes on Win 10

Within the first 20 minutes of booting my computer up, my Google Chrome freezes while browsing this subreddit. It's not really a hard freeze, but rather, when i click on a link and it proceedes to a new tab, nothing happens(but you could see the circle loading animation on the new tab). While this problem happens, i jump to the previous tab and i can't do anything to it, i can't even scroll up or down. I usually fix the problem just by waiting for a few seconds (since i keep clicking sometimes, I'm suddenly presented with 7 tabs of the same thing). or just by restarting Chrome. any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: The "freeze" only happens once or twice within the first 20 mins after boot time.
