Question about using financing contingency
I'm under contract for a new construction house, but I'm just very unhappy with it. It's taken them three tries just to get the framing right- and they still haven't fixed it. I'm concerned about the outcome and quality of the house and would like to just walk away from the deal. The inspection contingency doesn't seem to be an option. It just says that the seller will rectify non-cosmetic deficiencies.
For financing, the options for FHA, VA, Conv, are not marked. Instead, the "other" box was checked and "best available" was written in. Our agent has also written in a contingency that says "sale contingent on buyer obtaining financing that is satisfactory to buyers."
Does this mean that I can claim any financing is unsatisfactory in order to get my earnest money back?
This is in Mississippi.
