An analysis of ki+12 multipliers and trends, and a list of every high ki+12 multiplier stat in GBL

GLB Analysis

I first started to look at the ki+12 multiplier stat in SSRs and noticed the best one was 150%. That’s gotta be rare if that’s the best that SSRs have to offer, right? Wrong. I’ve found that it isn’t nearly as rare in other rarities as it is in SSRs, and a SSR doesn’t even hold the highest ki+12 multiplier in the game.

I’ve looked through every card in the GBL version of the game and I’ve compiled a list of all the cards with the highest ki+12 multipliers. (I used 150% and higher as my base standard for high ki+12 multiplier because 150% is the highest of any SSR in GLB or JPN right now. You’ll find that list below.) Before that, I want to share a couple trends I’ve noticed with all of you including how this stat gets assigned.

I’ll start with the one you all probably want to know first: which SSRs have the highest ki+12 multipliers? SSRs are clearly more important to practical players than any other rarity, and the list is so short on SSRs that I’m going to just copy it right here:

Only two SSRs have a high ki+12 multiplier. Can you believe it? Not only that, but they are both exceptions to the next rule/pattern I’ve found in the game that applies to all N, R, and SR units and concerns how this stat is assigned to units. If I had to guess, I would tell you that SSR cards are created with a lot more attention and care than every other rarity. They last longer in terms of practical usability than other rarities, they tend to have better artwork, they are fewer in number than SRs, they’ve got more link skills, and are all-around more special than all other cards simply by being the highest rarity. Which brings me to my next point.

How is this stat assigned? I’ve noticed a trend I would like to share with you all:

AGL units usually have a ki+12 multiplier of 110-120%.

STR units usually have a ki+12 multiplier of 120-130%.

INT units usually have a ki+12 multiplier of 123-133%.

PHY units usually have a ki+12 multiplier of 130-140%.

TEQ units usually have a ki+12 multiplier of 130-150%, often leaning on the high side.

It appears that the Type of card is the deciding factor for the majority of cards in the game, minus the SSRs. You’ll see this is especially true when comparing units who exist in multiple types - like the N Red Ribbon Soldiers - that TEQ units often outshine their counterparts in this stat. When it comes to SSRs I can’t figure out how this stat is assigned, but other rarities seems to be created to a standard within these guidelines. As I mentioned before, non-SSR cards are probably created to be so much more standard because Bandai Namco know that these cards aren’t special and deserve enough attention to make unique. You’ll notice that the development team is very careful when assigning a high ki+12 multiplier to a SSR, but it is much more common as you go down into lower rarities.

There's exceptions to the rule in cases like R PHY Reccome with a ki+12 multiplier of 145% and SR TEQ Super Saiyan Gohan (GT) with a ki+12 multiplier of 135%, but these are general patterns I've seen emerge from looking at all of the cards, and these guidelines hold true most of the time. It also appears that cards developed later, like PHY SR Paragus, tend to not obey the pattern as often as older ones. Similarly, the SR Metal Coora has the same ki+12 multiplier for every Type.

And who holds the highest stat in GBL for ki+12 multipliers? It’s none other than the N PHY Cell Jr. with a whopping ki+12% multiplier of 160%! No other card holds a ki+12 multiplier as high as a little Cell Jr. A honorary mention goes out to the only card with a 155% ki+12 multiplier, TEQ Krillin with his world-famous destructo disc pose!

Finally, this is the list I’ve compiled from every card in the GBL version of the game. You’ll notice it is almost exclusively TEQ with a few exceptions like the N PHY Cell Jr. as mentioned before, R PHY Gohan (Teen), SR PHY Super Saiyan Gohan (teen), SSR PHY Majin Buu (Good), and the long-awaited-for SSR STR Ultra Gogeta and LR STR Gogeta. This list is exclusively global except for Gogeta. I have looked through every LR and SSR in the JPN version of Dokkan Battle, and there are no additional units to add to this list.

  • N TEQ Pirate Robot has a 150% ki+12 multiplier

  • N TEQ Red Ribbon Soldier has a 150% ki+12 multiplier

  • N TEQ Frieza Soldier has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • N TEQ Saibamen has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • N PHY Cell Jr. has a ki+12% multiplier of 160%

  • R TEQ Spopovich has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Guldo has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Yamu has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Chiaotzu has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Raditz has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Nail has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Android 16 has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Jeice has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Piccolo has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R PHY Gohan (Teen) has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • R TEQ Dr. Gero has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Krillin has a ki+12 multiplier of 155%

  • SR TEQ Chiaotzu has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Android #17 has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Raditz has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Guldo has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Trunks (Teen) has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Krillin has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Nappa has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR TEQ Tien has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SR PHY Super Saiyan Gohan (teen) has a ki +12 multiplier of 150%

  • SSR PHY Majin Buu (Good) has a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

  • SSR STR Ultra Gogeta and LR STR Gogeta both have a ki+12 multiplier of 150%

If I’ve missed anything or any cards, I’d be glad to update the list. Additionally, there’s room for further analysis because I didn’t examine if there was a difference between heroes and villains (SUPER and EXTREME) cards. There’s also room for future work because the list is absent of JPN exclusive cards.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed my findings. Thank you for reading.
