Respiratory/lung health nurses, what are your tips/tricks/must-knows for working on your floor?
My summer practicum (third year) is on the respiratory floor and starts May 2nd. I'm going through all my pathophysiology notes on anything related to respiratory conditions, as well as common meds, assessments etc. We will be oriented to the floor regarding safety equipment, contacts, emergency situations etc. Wondering what helps you guys the most on a respiratory floor and any tips and tricks you can advise me with. Much appreciated!
Edit: wow you guys are a wealth of information! Thank you for all your input I really appreciate it!
