What is a small plant that is hard to keep alive?

My friend lost our fantasy football league and for part of the losing bet, he has to take care of a plant for a couple months and keep it alive. If it dies, he has to do a much more difficult task so we're looking for a plant that requires a lot of care and can fit in a fairly small pot.
