39 [M4F] Staring down year 40's barrel...
Have you ever reached that point in your life where you decided you don't really know anything anymore? I think that is where I am right now. I am starting to appreciate the transience of existence, but I still feel lost.
I am turning 40 soon and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, though I am gainfully employed and reasonably respected and successful in my career. I am married, but it feels more like a roommate situation than like a romance. I have awesome kids that are everything to me (so i have done something right:)).
My favorite thing is to spend time with my kids, though I love some solitude from time to time. I enjoy being outdoors, though I also enjoy staying in to watch a movie. I am content on a golf course or at a card table playing a game. I love to cook and I love to eat. I love finding out of the way places with interesting menus. I love a good microbrew but I won't say no to a PBR. Reading, music, sports; I love them all. I never have been in a clique because I fit in with all and none of them at them same time.
So what am I looking for? To be honest, I don't really know. Am I looking for a distraction from the doldrums of my marriage? Am I looking for an internet fling to spice things up? Am I looking for great conversations with interesting people? Do I want all of these things? Maybe.
So what's the point of all this, I don't really know. If you have made it this far, shoot me a message and maybe we can explore together. Who knows? Maybe you'll help me figure out what I'm looking for.
Thanks for reading!
