Nexus 5x error during OTA update

So up until now I had the february update (MMB29Q) installed on my stock/unrooted nexus 5x. Now I decided to update to the march update (and then the april update) through OTA. Problem was that as soon as the device restarted the march update was aborted and it showed "Error!" after which it restarted after 30 seconds. Now im stuck at the february update even though it says its up to date. I tried to wipe the cache through recovery but that didnt fix it. After looking through the recovery logs it said "E:Unable to map file" when installing the update after which it aborted the installation. I scoured the internet for a solution but couldnt find a definitive answer (for unrooted /stock recovery phones that is).I have no idea how to get OTA updates to work again
