Some Questions about Lucid dreaming and how to do it.

So I tried it last night. Didn't work xD

but I felt I was close I just wasn't strong enough to focus or not focus and let myself go shall we say.

I'm a very distracted person so while trying to stay calm and let my body sleep my mind just throws songs, clips from youtube videos or tv shows I watch or just random things at my while I try to "sleep" >:)

I also talk to myself in my head ALOT like I always pretend there is someone else there (me) that I'm constantly talking to so while things are happening with my body like my lower body is going numb or weird things start to happen I kinda shout in my head "ITS HAPPENING" not sure if it effects me going to sleep or not.

Question 1: How FOCUSED are you meant to be? I watched a video talking about just focusing on your breathing and your "Third Eye" between your eyebrows but As I was trying I was just talking and listening to music back in m head?

Question 2: There was a point where my eyes just started to sink into my head and kind feel like they were about to get sucked into my head. And my Whole face started to vibrate and twitch out of control... Though after a couple minutes its would just fade away and nothing would happen... Is this some step? or is this just some weird problem I'm having?

Question 3: Is there any sign you're getting close? There was a point.. and its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen my mind/self do.

I was relaxed, focused on my breathing and that spot above my eyes... and suddenly my vision went from dark grey to very black.. Like someone just painted over it from top to bottom.

Then out of no where it was like I was thrown into a vortex of starts... It looked like I was being thrown around and and a billion starts were just flying by me.

I know it sounds weird and I was so freaking out I was like screaming in my mine "WHAT THE F*CK IS GOING ON??!?!" and eventually it just stopped...

Question 4: does it take practice? or is it as simple as just, breath and poof?

I want to do it now... I was getting frustrated last night because everyone would say how amazing and made it seem really easy but as I tried everything that happened would eventually stop.. no matter how much I focused or relaxed. Does Lucid dreaming need time to practice or am I doing something wrong?

Question 5: Should I listen to some Lucid music to help or is it a waste?

I don't know what else to ask at this point these are the only things I had no idea about... Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope tonight will be better :D

Edit: quick question edit

Question: When Something like the stars happened I was getting excited and my heart started racing... Is this bad xD I assume it is because I'm getting those butterflies and such.
