[NEWS]Navantia announces new Santa Maria X Class

The X is short for xport.

Displacement: 2851 ton, 3610 ton standard 2499 tons, empty Length: shorter than 138.8 m (455 ft 5 in) Beam: shorter than 14.3 m (46 ft 11 in) Draught: shorter than 8.6 m (28 ft 3 in)

Propulsion: 2 × General Electric LM2500-30 gas turbines generating 41,000 shp (31 MW) through a single shaft and variable pitch propeller, 2 × Auxiliary Propulsion Units, 350 hp (260 kW) retractable electric azimuth thrusters for maneuvering and docking.

Speed: 29 knots (54 km/h; 33 mph)
