Depression, and cravings after leaving rehab.
Hello leaves,
I have to admit, I had a pretty bad problem with weed prior to getting admitted to rehab. I would have to smoke everyday, and if I couldn't get it, I'd substitute with alcohol. You'd think leaving a place like rehab after 28 days, I'd be feeling pretty good. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
I left rehab full of hope, and feelings of ambition. During the ride home, I started to sink again into what seems like a depression worse then I had previously. I was sitting here at my PC, listening to some music with my thoughts going 100mph. Then, I got up, grabbed 10$, and headed out for some cigs, which I promised myself I'd stop. Luckily, I stopped myself half way there, and turned around. I've managed 4 hrs outside of the place without a relapse, but I still feel horrible. I was wondering if this was just me.
Also, even after 21 days I still feel like I'm in a cloud, as if I had never stopped smoking. How long until this goes away? and the fucking cravings? lol. I'm not used to living in my own house without being under the influence of something. I'd assume it will take a while.
Thanks for any replies in advance. I'd like to applaud anybody who managed to stay sober of weed with or without the help of rehab, especially if you've struggled as much as myself.
Cheers.
