How to cancel century link, just signed up?

I've been thinking about doing the cox cancel/resubscribe thing to get a lower price and I talked to one of those salesmen at sams club today. He said I could simply create another cox account and simply cancel my old one. So I went for that but I didn't really notice until I got home and got an email from century link that it was their service, not Cox like I was promised. So obviously I was taken to a degree. Is there a way I can cancel this right away? They have awful reviews online and cox has been fairly good service wise.
