Was This A "Normal" Massage?

I went to a local spa tonight and got a massage for the first time ever. I don't really like anyone touching my back. Not for any reason other than I'm tense often times and my back is sensitive because of this. That's really the reason I went in the first place to see if it would help me relax. Ok on to my question.

While laying on the table, face down, the therapist began on her massage on my back and it felt awesome! I was almost immediately telling myself I'd be back. Then as she worked her way down she removed my towel and began massaging my glutes. I think that's probably not uncommon to be completely naked?

The things that made me wonder if it was a "typical" massage is the way she did it though. Her hands were all the way up in my crack even coming in contact with my scrotum at least a dozen times and also making contact with my anus. I thought it was kind of weird but I also thought it was probably something that could not be avoided with a full body massage especially on the glutes too?
