Located in a beautiful street-level boutique in the historic shopping district of the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan. The neighborhood is thriving with art galleries, small boutiques, restaurants, bars, night life, & boutique hotels. Each Sunday, the street is blocked off to motorized traffic & is officially designated as a pedestrian shopping mall.

The POPUPCO-OP was started because of the lack of frequent local zine fests. And because as I know others experiences... it's very time consuming, it's practically like having another full time job. I needed a way to have affordable small zine fests throughout the year with not as much of the headache of a full-on-out zine fest.

POPUPCO-OP.COM tries to bring together like minded artists to all pitch in to rent storefronts and galleries throughout New York - although we recently have had a chance of taking it international once in awhile, which sounds like a blast, it will be primarily a NYC thing.
