Rooting my Android Phone, help?

I have an Alcatel Onetouch Conquest model number Alcatel 7046T with android 5.0.2. I have tried using Kingo Root App, and followed instructions, and it gets to 66% and my phone freezes and so does the software on my Windows PC. Several times over I have not been able to do this, so my question is, is there a better software that I should be using? Can anyone help me with this please?

EDIT: Got it working with King Root 4.6. Thanks
