Many of the recent national general election polls are mirroring this trend in today's CBS poll. Clinton vs. Trump- Clinton +10. vs Cruz? Clinton +3. vs Kasich? Kasich +6. Why don't the Republicans seem interested in nominating the only one who appears to actually be able to win?

Here are links to the CBS poll and Kasich's average on RealClearPolitics:

Why is no one talking about this? Why are people so eager to take a chance with Trump when someone like Kasich appears to have a much better shot at winning?

If this is really such a crucial election for Republicans, why aren't they supporting the one person that seems to be winning in a general?
