Is Philips bricking the bridges? (1/3 lights)

A few days ago, I had a problem where my bridge was bricked. I thought my unit was just defective. But within the last few days, two more reports have come in, that's extraordinary given the incredibly small sample size of r/hue/ users. I wonder if a faulty firmware/app is to be blamed.
