How would you deal with a best friend that is a really god awful boyfriend?

Love my best bud to death but I really feel sorry for the girls he dates. He cheats all the time, and seems to have the poor girls emotions on lock. They all break free eventually but I feel like he doesn't make any attempt to be a good boyfriend. No, he doesn't put hands on them.
