Is there anything I can do to regular paper to make it oil pastel friendly?

I have a small project I want to do (in size and in scope.) I've looked for an oil pastel sketchpad but all the ones I can find are too big and I really only need a few pages. I have a regular sketchpad in the right dimensions but I don't want the pastels smearing. Is there anything I can do to prep or seal regular paper to make this work?
