Black and white photos of women with short biographies and writings.

A coworker of mine told me a story of a book she found in a bookstore and bought both copies of (which in turn were loaned out and lost) because she fell so in love with it. The book is a composition of black and white photos of women with a short writing about their story including any poems or short writings by them. One picture she vividly remembers is a black woman dressed in a suit sitting and leaning in towards the camera with an ankle bracelet on as well as a large Afro. If I can find this book and surprise her with it she would probably cry with joy. Thank you!
