Has anyone tried Curcumin (tumeric) for seizure control?
Here is a study I found (although the tests are only on rats, not people) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20840851 If you google curcumin and epilepsy, there are pages everywhere about its effectiveness. Lately I have been focused on CBD, looking for a good source at a good price. But if curcumin is also as effective, how awesome is that... plus the stuff is cheap and can be bought at any grocery or drugstore.
Edit: Forgot to post that I have spent some time researching how curcumin affects the digestive system and apparently may be harmful to take with some AEDs. It looks like it enhances the CYP2A6 enzyme, which results in "results in increased activity of lamotrigine" for example. http://turmericsgold.com/safety/drug-interactions-with-curcumin/
