[Spoilers] Character Attribute Question

So I've become Hollow. I usually play with two of buddies (good way for us to keep in touch), I read that its bad to be Hollow for co-op experience. In order for me to pay for the Dark Sigil it's going to cost me 54k, which is a ton for just starting out.

So should I save up the 54k, or does it even matter? Or should I rather just create a new character, maybe try to do a pyro build?
