Graphics tweaking question + Vive impressions
Hi guys,
I've been testing my new HTC Vive in DCS World and it's bloody amazing! I've flown a fair bit IRL and this is the next best thing. The sense of speed and height is incredible, as is the feeling of physically being in the cockpit! I find some cockpit text a bit hard to read, but leaning in solves this. Overall, I thoroughly recommend it, I just hope ED manage to implement motion controller interaction!
My main complaint so far is performance, though that's down to my PC. Performance is fine over unpopulated areas, but as soon as I see buildings or trees, my framerates tank. I've tried using autoexec.cfg to reduce the number of structures, but I'm having no luck. I've made sure it's in UTF-8, and I've copypasted the code below off another thread https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/38242n/getting_dcs_world_to_75fps_on_a_i54590_gtx660/ . It doesn't seem to be working though, it's making no difference to the graphics. Can anyone please provide a working code?
The code I've tried:
options.graphics.Camera.Low.lodMult = 0.3
options.graphics.Camera.Low.objects = {50, 750}
options.graphics.Camera.Low.dynamic = {25, 00}
options.graphics.Camera.Low.lights = {50, 5000}
options.graphics.Camera.Low.districtobjects = {10, 10}
options.graphics.Camera.Low.districts = {200, 200}
Cheers!
