##In summation##

Shina scouts separated from the Black by the corruption of the Ashfall have begun to settle a new factory named Cigzlstad after its intrepid founder.

The Tala'anfarol have been thriving on the homeland above and a great many of the other races have sought to join them. It will be a while before their population is large enough for them to be significant as a power source for the Gods, but they are growing. Currently they are practitioners of a religion similar to Seelanism, but they are diverging culturally very quickly.

The HOE was consumed in a conflagration of war and destruction. The multifront war laid waste to vast amounts of land and in only 3 short years the empire population was decreased by 30%, by sword, bug bight, plague, famine, emigration and slave raids.

Ulnadu's host of the Unpure had cut a swath of destruction through the lands of the Urudas and Razholar Klodships. Many civilians had be executed as 'heretics' the definition of what was a heretic was rather uncertain, but their certainly seemed to be enough of them around. His advance was in the end stopped by intervention by the seraphim Kalina, newly made a demigod, and the true followers of Aedaal.

Just as things were turning against Ulandu though a new ally appeared to help him escape. The druids and a swarm of Kranekka attacked. No one saw where the Unpure ascended went, but they certainly were not slain. In fact surveying the battle field not a single one of their corpses could be found. The combined forces of Orophos, Razholar and Kalina fought back the Kranekka swarm, but a great deal of rebuilding would be required in Razholar.

The GlassGuard meanwhile descended upon the city of Kilimararo. The city and its mages fought back bravely, but were inevitably outmatched. The city was placed under a brief, but brutal martial rule and the Klod executed. The archer's next stop was their temple. They attempted to retake it only to find it occupied by a massive nest of mosquito. They forced the mages to build them fire traps that they could use to combat the beasts, but the traps seemed to have little effect on the population. Luckily the revolutions in fire magic did allow for a way to cure the damage done by the bites of the bugs, channelling enough heat into the wound purge the infection. There was not enough mages to enact this cure on a large scale, but it certainly helped. With no other choice the Glassguards were forced to take the temple by fighting with little more than their hands. Many lives were lost, but the temple was reclaimed.

In the North the Klodship of Dainer was visited by the demigod of music Ellion. He spoke of love and compassion, of restoring the empire to its lost glory. He was only pelted with rocks a few times before people began to listen. They still had great concerns, but they realised that they would have to make peace soon. This war was killing too many people. The forces of Dainer had been locked in a long bitter struggle for control over the Klodship of Tolmettin. The mountain warriors were the experts in their terrain and while the city itself was easily occupied by Dainer, the guerilla attacks from the mountains around took a great toll.

War weary and influenced by Ellion, the Klod of Dainer reached out to the capital. Orophos was happy to come to the peace table, but were in no position to make demands, they were busy adapting to life with the mosquitoes. They had to ensure all their buildings were free of cracks the bugs could use to enter and sett up netted walk ways in the major thoroughfares of the city. They had no army left, the Glassguard were out of control and the cavalry were on their way home from the battle with Ulandu. As such they were willing to accept any offer that kept the empire whole.

The Dainer Klod on the other hand was feeling less flexible. The only think that they would accept was a complete end to Klod taxation and for each Klod to have the trade freedoms previously available only to Razholar. The city of Orophos would also pay war reparations for the damage 'their tyranny' had caused. This was a bitter pill for the people of the city of Orophos to swallow, but they had no choice.

With peace restored the economists of Razholar were free to roll out a new set of ordnances detailing currency laws. The mints in each Klod were to be administered by the minting guild and access to minting plates was to be outlawed as forging. Having seen in the past the problems unregualted minting could cause, these reforms were popular everywhere and very slowly they began to reopen up trade between the Klodships.

[Ok I got all the bad stuff from the bleak age that will happen to the HOE out of the way in one go for you. Things will take a while to rebuild, but your empire is safe now.]

Meanwhile matter of religion have been changing rather quickly. The extreme events that have been taking place have caused a lot of confusion and people have been seeking answers. Several gods had been silent for a while and some had undergone startling transformations. Pledia for example had died, but been reborn, many theologies were having trouble with that concept.

Under the ocean the various clergies of Ocean elementalism have finally met up in a grand conclave to decide who the great Gods of the ocean are. While most left the conclave dissatisfied some level of understand and cooperation amongst the Ocean Elementalists was finally reached.

The Ground Elementalists and the Cult of Winter began working together. Winter was a vital part of the nature of things and as so many of the roles fulfilled by the cult of Winter began to be carried out by the Winter Cultivar, a group of Ground Elementalists. Shi'eera was thus integrated as a minor deity in that religion. This took the Blessed further afield from Treelan than had previously ventured. So long as the areas were wooded they could live their. That included Oman forests. Their travels take them and their prophet Flaaris as far as distant off Othax.

The Air Elementalists were a spread out bunch and still had little in the way of clergy or administration, but the faith was as strong as ever. With a lack of direction though the laputian dwellers have began to follow the generic branch of Sky Elementalists rather than their more focussed approach. Likewise convinced that they will never catch the great Kranekka, The Hunt has come to an end, it old members joining the laputain dwellers.

The religion of the Irey have finally completely subsumed the Ekatites into their numbers. The Ekatites are still a distinct cultural and ethnic group on the island of Jiol, but lack their own religion. The Ireyeli faith follows all three gods of the island to various degrees. The Irey empire's on the continent are flourishing in the aftermath of the Ashfall. Founding several settlement in the most verdant land unaffected by the ashfall, that they can find.

The Joyic have developed a folk religion focusing equally on the two 'brothers' gods Zayr and Klaudium who rule the above and below respectively.

Seelanism is always fluctuating in which Gods it see as the most important. Several of the previously important Gods are now seen as minor deities. So long as they always have festivals to celebrate Seelanists don't think too much about theology. The Monastic order of Change was hit pretty hard by the Ashfall and has been reintegrated into the main population of Seelan. Likewise the order of healers has taught their arts too widely. Now most clerics in Seelan can channel the healing focus to some degree and give thanks while doing so, but a dedicated order of healers is a thing of the past.

The Orophos pantheon is mostly unchanged, but the Glass Guard are not as well regarded by the populace as they once were, resulting in less following for Pledia.

The Othax pantheon is losing ground in light of foreign religions. Ground Elementalism, The Mageli faith, and the religion of the mages are all gaining significant following here.

Many faiths have began to establish Holy orders of paladins. As well as venerating the gods of their religion these paladin's give thanks to first paladin Narum and by proxy this faith feeds the Allfather.

Two new religions had emerged recently. The Prideland were entirely saved by The Flame. The Flame is a successor religion to the Pridelands religion with slightly different priorities. The Flame and The Convergence are intermixed in many areas.

The Aedaalites have also spread far and wide. They can no longer really be considered a branch of Seelanism. They worship Aedaal as their primary diety of course, but an important part of their teachings is that they much seekout and destroy the agents of Razhok, and Nilhi. They must remain Pure of corruption. These people call themselves The Pure, for this reason. They believe with all their hearts in Aedaal and his teachings, but while it may be Aedaal they praise in the light, at night it is the workings of the dark gods they lay awake worrying about. This fear and loathing feeds power to Razhok, and Nilhi just as much as devotion or love would. In contrast the Unpure think quite the same things of the gods, but have very different methods of showing it. The Unpure are still out their somewhere. The Gods can feel their belief, but they can't quiet see them.

###The Pure

[I'm sorry I'm three hours late as it is no time for events. There are in theory two events relating to the religious matters, but they are covered in the summery so read that. Now it is midday and I've been awake for a little over forty hours so I'm going to bed. There are likely mistakes, but I'll rectify them tonight.]
