Should I tell my family that I've been having bad thoughts again?

I spent a while thinking about how much background to give, but in the end, I think that all that is important is that 5 years ago, I battled with depression, but thanks to therapy and meeting some new friends, I mostly got over it. Over the last month or so, I've slowly been relapsing into the same mindset that caused me so much pain before.

When I went through my first battle with depression and thoughts of suicide, I told my parents as soon as I first thought that killing myself "didn't sound too bad." They were my loving parents, and if anyone would understand, it would be them. Their responses were, to put it mildly, uncaring. My father told me to stop "being weak" and told me that my life wasn't so bad so I shouldn't be having bad thoughts. My mother kept talking about the financial investment they had made in me, and that I needed to not waste it (my earlier depression started while I was in college).

Neither of my parents are not affectionate by any means. In every other circumstance in my life, my parents were loving and supportive. I'm worried that if I tell them about how I'm feeling now, they'll be just as nonchalant about it, and I'll do something drastic, feeling unloved. On the other hand, I really want someone I trust to talk to about this. I live in a new city far away from my old therapist (who I haven't talked to in years anyway), and am scared that if I try to tell any of my friends about how I'm feeling, I'll scare them off.
