Awful roommate advice

I live in an apartment targeted towards college students in Tennessee. I have a particularly bad roommate who constantly make the place smell of burning weed or incense, took the communal living room TV to his room (it's provided by the apartment complex), constantly plays loud music or video games late at night when I have to work the next day (despite multiple requests to turn down the volume), and generally makes my life hell. I've read through the lease agreement, and it would be grounds for eviction if he were to be caught with drugs.

I talked to the apartment manager today who said that they would need proof from the police. What I would like to know is, if I contacted them, how might it come back to bite me?

The apartment is laid out as a common area/kitchen with 4 bedrooms attached, and separate bathrooms and closets for each of us. We each essentially just rent our rooms out, so I don't know if the possession would apply to me as well, even though both me and my area are completely clean.

Thank you in advance
