Can't spawn or repair certain ships from a dead bueprint

I've been having trouble getting tentacle to build ships. The ships will either build part of the way and stop or won't start at all. The first one was the stock Sinner's Luck that I finally got the game to rebuild it after refitting it to itself. The second ship is one that I designed and I've tried making sure that repair is enabled, refitting it to itself, and building the base hull it was designed off of and then refitting to it, but nothing works.
