Splurge in Budapest at the Intercontinental or be efficient?

Hello everyone! My first post here, occasionally poster at u/churning. I've been planning a special Eurotrip for my mother as she raised me right, and I wanted to thank her for everything. As of the moment, we are heading to Lyon/Geneva, Munich, Copenhagen, Prague, and Budapest.

One of the cities she's interested in is Budapest. Thanks the IHG Priceless Surprises, I was able to secure enough points. I also belong to the school of hoarding, so I have a stash in Marriott and Club Carlson as well. I noticed that the Intercontinental in Budapest will run me 35k/night. For 3 nights, it'll be a total of 105k stay. But then, Club Carlson has the Park Inn at 9k/night (27k total) and Radisson Blu at 15k/night (45k). I did an Excel sheet where I played out the different scenarios and if I go ahead with the IC, then I'm limited on IHG points. But if I go with either CC hotels, then it gives me the freedom to use IHG for other stays. With whatever hotel we stay, I have enough points, it's a question of would you splurge on this occasion.

Of course it's my Mom, and I want to splurge (most likely she won't come back to these cities again), but she's also like me where we want to get the maximum price for the points. What would you do? Also, does anyone else get anxiety of trying to find the best CPP when it comes to redemption?
