Pro and cons of WHM/AST vs WHM/SCH

hi all, recently my static has been looking a new co-healer but with Malboros pretty dead raid tier Players i op'd from being an AST to being whatever we needed and to my luck(never good) we got a WHM. now i know WHM/SCH is preferred but i, for the love of hydalyn, hate sch so much.

what im really asking is, is WHM/noctAST viable for savage level raiding? i really enjoy my AST and almost done with the Relic.
