"Hardcore Smaller ipHUD" - a marriage of the "Requiem - Minor Arcana" HUD and "1080 Smaller ipHUD"
Hardcore Smaller ipHUD was created because I love the implementation of Requiem - Minor Arcana by u/Axonys, but I can't play Requiem without the layout of 1080 Smaller ipHUD. This forced my hand to learn how to edit and rebuild some aspects of .gfx files. Hardcore Smaller ipHUD rebuilds the functionality of Hardcore Compass Mod - Variant 1 (used for Requiem - Minor Arcana) into 1080 Smaller ipHUD, to make what I consider an ideal HUD.
Hardcore Smaller ipHUD works well as a standalone mod, but I am considering doing more with it if it works as intended for enough screen resolutions. As of yet I have Hardcore Smaller ipHUD confirmed to display as intended with the following resolutions: 16:9 (1280x720, 1366x768, 1600x900, 1920x1080).
Axonys tested the mod on their system, and found that their 16:10 1440x900 screen resolution had this outcome. Although I'd still prefer it to the default HUD, I'm not sure if everyone would.
I used to own a 16:10 1920x1200 monitor that I'm pretty sure worked with all resolutions I had available in 1080 Smaller ipHUD, so I'm curious if my previous 16:10 monitor had different ipHUD outcomes than others in that aspect ratio. I only currently have a 16:9 1080p monitor to test this mod with, and it's working as intended at all of my available resolutions.
I'd like to request anyone here with an interest in this mod if they would be willing to try test running it in a few different resolutions, especially those of you with a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor, and especially in the following range of resolutions: 1280×800, 1440x900, 1680×1050, 1920×1200.
Anyone running this mod will either have to temporarily disable Requiem - Minor Arcana in their load order, or remove (or replace) the hudmenu.gfx file from it's .bsa. Otherwise "Requiem_Minor_Arcana.bsa" will overwrite Hardcore Smaller ipHUD.
I'm trying to find a way - if it's how vanilla Skyrim implements .swf and .gfx files - to apply proportional positioning to this HUD layout so that it will work as intended at all resolutions. The only possible solutions I've yet found would involve access to the paid version of Sothink SWF Decompiler, or a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, both of which are out of my price range for this project. If anyone knows of inexpensive or free software to implement proportional positioning to .swf/.gfx flash frames, please let me know. For the time being, understanding what resolutions work as intended with Hardcore Smaller ipHUD will allow for a good context for whether it's worthwhile to consider offering it in an optional .bsa patch for Requiem - Minor Arcana.
