[HELP] Home remedy for dog's ear infection?

Hey guys, my dog has an on and off ear infection and it fucking drives me nuts. She just came down with it once again and as of right now what I am doing is basically cleaning (rubbing) her ears with rubbing alcohol. Is this the correct approach towards the problem? Will rubbing alcohol help ease her ears and rid her ears of the infection?
