[Rant] Since when was it okay to lie to someone?
I fucking hate high school. If you say yes if someone asks you to prom isn't it supposed to mean YOU WANT TO GO TO PROM WITH THEM. Apparently I'm the crazy man for thinking that. When was it okay for someone to lie to someone for a few days and bring their hopes up just because you "wanted to protect their feelings". First of all, mission fucking failed. This was gonna be the kid's FIRST DATE EVER TOO. When was honesty a bad thing? How do you have a right to decide what's good for a person to hear and what's not? Why is this even an argument? Ladies, here's the thing: If a guy asks you to prom as a date just straight up say what will make you happiest in the long run. If that's a no just don't be rude about it and laugh or scoff at him. Saying yes because you feel like you have to, you don't have to, you never have to. That's for everything. But just don't lie to a guy because you want to not hurt his feelings, because in high school, the truth ALWAYS comes out. And when it does its going to hurt them a lot more then. Just remember that please. I don't know why this is news but honesty is the best policy for everyone's happiness. I'm done with high school and all this fake bull shit and cannot wait to graduate in a couple months. Godspeed to all you poor souls.
