[Theory Crafting] Vayne vs Ahri Mid

Hi guys.

I've been playing League of Legends for about 5 years and I've been Diamond in Season 3, 4, and 5. For fun, I've been playing 1v1 against one of my friends in Gold. She plays Ahri and I choose Vayne. I know this match-up is heavily in Ahri's favor (squishy adc with no mr per level against a strong mage), but we just play for fun (Normally first to get a tower, few kills, or a huge lead)

Anyways, I'm looking for some tips for what I can do to win this match up more. This is what I've been been doing and what I've been trying to think about.

1. Standard runes, AD, attack speed, armor yellow, mr blues
2. Thunderlords set up over Fervor's (I think this is much better for 1v1) Skill order: Q>W>E>R (should I change this?)
3. Flash and Ignite (Should I be running heal or barrier instead? I'm having trouble deciding which would be better for Vayne. Heal not as useful if she ignites me before I heal. I have been running ignite but I'm trying to find a basis for switching to barrier)
4. Rushing a botrk (Ahri's sustain is surprisingly ridiculous. It seems like once my friend gets Morello's she has infinite mana and just sustains off the minions. And her ult is up more sooner than mine if we have a fight where we both ulted. Maybe I should be going botrk and ghostblade? Any item suggestions?
5. Trying to tumble or flash away from her Q and E. Basically anytime I get hit with E I get killed, which is expected.
6. Trying to shove the wave anytime I get during the laning phase, (getting pushed to the tower and trying to CS against Ahri is difficult, but she outpushes me pretty hard with her easy waveclear)
7. Thinking carefully about where I can condemn Ahri. I noticed it's useful to shove the lane and condemn her into her own tower if I can actually get the lane pushed up enough. But I can't find any other useful ways to use E besides maybe getting a third proc from W. (But in reality, this setup is nearly impossible with Ahri's waveclear)
8. I've been memorizing the cooldowns of Ahri's CD and keeping them throughout my head and trying to punish her/go in whenever I see her miss one of her abilities. Particularly a missed E because that CD on that is high.

I feel like if I'm playing EXTREMELY well as Vayne (dodging all of the Q's and dodging the E's but this hard). I should be able to win even though this match up is heavily against my favor. I feel that Ahri has the ability to be outplayed because her skillshots can be dodged, but reaching that level is difficult. But trying to go all in on my friend is extremely difficult. She can just run away with her ult on an extremely low CD. Should I be aiming at getting ahead into the trades first, and then trying to all in? Basically, if I want to win more consistently, I have to really learn to dodge all the skillshots and trade better before trying to all in, right? Is my mindset correct, but I just need more practice?
