Need Help - Ideas for a 1 person campaign in Katapesh.

Hello everyone, Sorry for the blurb post, I'm posting on my mobile while I wait for my wife. I am running a highly complicated homebrew campaign with my wife, brother in law, and his girlfriend and a family friend.

We can't play every week like originally intended because right now everyone has something crazy happening each weekend.

My wife wants to continue playing because I was blessed by Cayden with a woman who loves gaming and role playing. So we decided I would do a 1 on 1 with the occasional friend joining in when no one else is available for the regular session.

My wife wants to play a character resembling Morgianna from Magi and is going with an unchained monk from the Mwangi Jungles. Sold into slavery and taken to Katapesh. (similar to the start of magi and how she explains her backstory) but I have absolutely no knowledge of Katapesh and also have never ran a 1 person session. I believe it will be like when a single person rolls off on their own in a regular group but I need help figuring out a compelling story.

Having never even glanced in the direction of Katapesh or the Mwangi area, what would be a good captivating story that would constitute a 1 person party?

I'm sort of going with the Aladdin style of Magi and then the crazy Jurassic World style of animals in Mwangi. Anyone else ever run anything in these areas that have advice on it?
