[INTRO] Hello GoG!

Before I start my intro, please forgive me for my bad english/grammar.

Hi everyone! I'm PsychoBasilisk, my name was based off Psycho Mantis from my all time favorite video game series Metal Gear Solid and Basilisk came from the mythological creature itself which I found very interesting so I added them together and bam - resulted in my name (I wasn't clever on names back then).

I mostly lurk here on Reddit now and then, I only started to create my account 4 months ago when I encountered a problem on my PC and submitted a text post on a subreddit. I started playing when I was only 5 years old when my mom came home one day with a NES, I didn't know about video games back then because I mostly play outside with some other kids and stuff because my father was strict and wouldn't let me use any technology back then like TV.

My first game was Super Mario Bros., the first time I saw the game title flashed on the TV and the moment I grabbed the controller - I knew I was going to experience a different kind of enjoyment for years to come. I kept playing on and on for hours, it was SMB at first then Contra, Willow, Legend of Zelda and I couldn't stop playing! Years gone by and I started playing on PS1 then Gamecube then Nintendo 64 then PS2 and on and on. Now I have my trusty PC with me that I built last year and am still playing more video games.

I'm from Philippines, which is a third world country, everyone knows living here is hard. Video games are also hard to get and expensive when you're not from the city, if you live in a province then you'll have to drive for few hours just to go to a video game store.

One day, I realized that I had a passion for gaming, I wanted to make my own games, not to make a profit out of them but to make games that people would love and enjoy. That's why after summer ends and school starts again, I will be enrolling on a college that offers Game Development courses. I'm fully aware that it's hard getting into the video game industry but I am motivated to follow passion and dream to become a Game Dev. no matter how hard it is. Despite this, I don't have any experience with coding and such, but I'll do my best to learn them!

That's it for my intro and hello again everyone! If you want to play with me sometime or just chat, here's my Steam : Steam Thanks for reading
