Using Naga epic base in place of naga epic chroma?

Hi Guys, so my dog destroyed the base of my new naga epic chroma. I found a naga epic charging base on ebay pretty cheap. Can i use this to link my mouse to my pc? Im not worried about charging it since i assume i can charge it through micro usb.
