WE SOLD OUR BLOCK REQUIREMENT!

We're ~ a month out! and our block for the hotel closes 4/18. We had to sell 80% of rooms for the hotel block to not cost us anything. I didn't like that clause... however, after looking at 6 hotels, this was definitely the right hotel. And we scored an amazing deal by locking in so early... and it's right on the river and in the heart of downtown/in the heart of the downtown city park. I checked the going rates the weekend of our wedding. Starting at $269 with no breakfast or parking. Our block was $116 with parking, breakfast, and wifi and a bunch of other free amenities.

Anyway. It's been hair pulling and we invited 188 guests. 67 are coming. No big deal really... most of them are coming from out of town. But then some are staying at AirBNB and some are staying elsewhere and just whatever.

And TODAY, finally... we met quota! We had actually sold out our wedding night and the day before the wedding and had to add more rooms... but those didn't add more to quota, they were courtesy because we were in a weird position to not being able to sell any of the other two nights if we couldn't sell our wedding night. SO... I'm excited and less stressed.

One major thing off the list!
