Friend banned for "major macro", please read.

Hey, although I'm a RS3 player I have friends that play OSRS and one of them was permanently banned recently for a "macro major" blackmark.

I'm going to be completely honest and say that the script he was using was an AHK that performed 1:2 actions, right click and mousemove to x:y coordinates, and then a regular left click to drop the item - he was using this for woodcutting. I know for a fact that this script is thrown around and has spread like wildfire within the community of efficient players, they all use it (I know this because I am good friends with a good amount of people in this community).

To make it clear, I'm not defending the actions of my friend - if someone bots, there will obviously be consequences, but this friend was nearly maxed with a total level of 2187 and had only 1 blackmark in the past which is why I feel a permanent ban for a 1:2 script that he was using just to drop logs is a bit harsh. I see many other players use AHK's and other macro softwares with much more ridiculous setups who get away with using these free and clear. With a quick Google search I was able to find a maxed OSRS player who makes YouTube video's, has a pretty large following (30k subscribers), and uses a script from the OSbuddy client which is very similar to the one my friend was using, but he uses it for mining. There are plenty more videos like this too, so I don't understand why my friend was permanently banned without warning but these other players are allowed to use an extremely similar scripts, but only because these are built into a client that Jagex sells.

There are many other cases where players were let go even though they broke an official rule of RuneScape on a massive scale (ha Emily), I just think my friend was given a harsh sentence for a very small crime - not that it was unfair.

For those who think "my friend" is me, I can see why you'd think so but he made a thread of his own on here just the other day and it didn't go down too well because his English isn't too great - which is why he asked me to write it for him, perhaps he might comment below on his own reddit account if he feels like. And even if it was me, I can't think of a reason why I'd want to use another reddit account and pretend to be someone else that would benefit me.

TL;DR - Friend banned for 1:2 AHK script that is very similar to the one tonnes of other players use on a daily basis but are allowed to because its a built-in feature on OSBuddy, I'm not saying his ban was unfair - I'm asking why he wasn't given warning or a temporary ban before a permanent ban, and for a second chance for him if a Jmod reading this could help him.
