Need some pointers on an electronic kit.

I really have no idea what I'm doing here. It's been a few years since I've played a kit, and I'm playing in a small area with a full band so a full kit would sort of drown everybody out. I've been looking for about a week but everybody has different opinions on them. What should I look at?
