Why are so many people OBSESSED with battery use and percentages?
This sub is out of control with people absolutely obsessed with battery usage.
X, Y, Z app is using 2.347356% of my battery. What is it and how can I disable it?
Seriously guys, unless you're getting some REALLY poor battery life, why even worry about it? Android works in complex ways. Some apps are tied to others, some are tied to the OS itself, so battery reporting percentages won't always be as clear as it appears.
And then there's the obsession with Package Disabler....people disabling random modules for no reason at all, not even understanding what those modules do.
Sure, disabling some carrier apps would make sense. But killing off so many parts of the OS is bad. It's going to cause battery drain and weird issues.
Finding lists of modules on the internet that other people have done, doesn't mean it's all good.
When the OS goes looking for something that isn't there, it doesn't just say, "oh well, it's been disabled using a 3rd party app, so to save battery, I won't go looking for it again."
If you remove Package Disabler or restore most of the modules, you'll probably find battery life improves again, or there's bugger all difference.
Feel free to downvote, but I'm willing to bet the vast majority of Package Disabler users have no idea what they actually disabled.
Plus the fact the developers are going against the Google Play ToS and making people remove negative comments before they'll issue a refund.
Just enjoy your phone and stop trying to squeeze every minuscule piece of energy from the battery.
