Bernie is missing the simplest and best defense for his vote on this bill and the Sandy Hook shooting. Gun manufactures produce a legal product, that is legally advertise. There is no laws being broke and as Clinton said "we are a nation of laws" so there is no moral liability other than to produce a product that does what is suppose to do safely. Unfortunately guns are made to kill.

Simple example. Sports cars. They are marketed in a way that is appealing to young people, they are made to be too fast, too powerful, and thus are unnecessary unsafe. So if someone take a corvette or viper and gets into an accident that kills people due to excessive speed, are the car manufactures responsible? No. The same is true of guns, the people that use or break laws are responsible.
