I've been stuck twice in a plane then a shuttle with someone who insists on bringing up and pushing religion. How do you all handle that?

I was on a 2 hour flight when the lady next to me holding her religious book decided to bluntly ask me about my relationship with the lord. We had not even spoken, she just hit me with it. I replied I don't have one, but I think it's a great thing for those people who use it positively and I have seen it comfort people in times of crisis. Obviously, I had the next 2 hours to listen to her talk about god, even though I clearly stopped listening.

Today, I was on a shuttle to the airport and 2 guys were in there with me. Seemed nice, we talked about going home and all that. Then, out of nowhere one of them asked if I'm active in a church. Huh? I said no and he proceeded to talk about how morals only come from surrendering to the lord or something.

I'm interested to hear how others handle situations like that without getting into an argument with the other person.
