McDonalds or a Dishwashing job?

Hi there,

So i was just wondering if you think its worth making a switch from McDonalds to a dishwashing job that pays 13 an hour. I've worked at McDonalds for 3-4 years already and today was my frist day at this new job.

It was fairly busy and dishes, pots, etc were coming in non stop. He told me the pay was 13 an hour once i finished my shift but didn't say much more... so i didn't get a chance to ask when pay day was... so i'm a bit worried about that Also, i recently hated working at McDonalds just for the fact i was 20 and i'm still at this fast food joint. But here is my chance to finally leave.. but it's not much better. The pay is a bit higher, but the work is much harder.

So what do you think? I'm 20 years old, not in school, and i keep busy by working these jobs and by working on my hobbies that i'm deeply passionate about. I'm hoping that my hobby turns into my career soon so i can quit working for other people.. but who knows when that will happen so i'm stuck with my decision between mcdonalds (for who knows how many years) or this dish washing job? I rather be known as a dishwasher at age 20, then a mcdonalds employee
