permanent blemishes?

kind of new to herpes 2, coming up on one year in June. I've had 6 blemishes in my pubic area for 6 months now. I took Valacyclovir, in the beginning, as a 3 day dose and now take it as a daily suppressant, and these 6 bumps won't erupt or go away. Has this been your experience?
