[17/m] About to graduate, not sure what to do from here
So, I'm in 12th grade and am about to enter the real world after four long years of high school. During these past few years, I've barely had any success with relationships, or women in general, and have gotten very used to being surrounded by a few hundred other people every day for seven hours a day. Their presence gives me a chance to socialize, a chance that's virtually impossible to ignore. So outside of school in situations where there are fewer people around, few to no wingmen, I really don't know what I'm doing. I don't know how to spot potential cheaters among unfamiliar cliques. And, typically, unless they're the ones initiating a chat, I'm not good at maintaining conversation with a lot of women.
Now, some of you might be thinking "Oh, this guy'll find everything he wants in college." Well, yes and no. Sure, I do intend to go to a four-year school but I've already completed two years of college through dual enrollment so, when I do end up in a four-year college, I'll only have two years before I ship out.
One way that I have been able to meet people, a way which some might expect to work fairly well in the future, is to go out to concerts and local shows and meet women there. Hell, I play in bands, maybe I'll gain some interest from someone. But typically all the women at the shows I normally attend are just there to be with their boyfriends or are otherwise out of my league, and some of my fellow musicians have plenty of stories about exes of theirs who've done very unpleasant things to them. So I fear music may be a poor way of finding intimacy.
I've heard online dating can be fun, but at the same time I'm nervous about going after people whom no one I know has ever heard of, and it's with people like that that I've built up a routine of getting cheated on by every other girlfriend I have.
I just don't know what I'm supposed to do.
tl;dr: I'm used to a high school lifestyle and don't know how to have a love life in the real world.
