High Lord Wolnir Glitch online?

So I get all embered up to summon some guys to help me with this boss(as i'm very noob at this game) but when I go through the door and do the cutscene, they dont seem to ever come with me, so its making it hard for me to get past this part since i like a lot of help as a new souls player, they seem to get stuck at the start and then end up leaving, and i just die to lord wolnir everytime.. any advice?
