Am I using the magic mouse correctly? (no joke)

HI all, So about a month ago I decided I wanted to get a wireless mouse, before I had one of the gaming mouse, big and nice, but corded. So I got the magic mouse because seem like a cool wireless choice... By no means I have big hands, but I can't grasp the mouse right, even thought is flatter it's giving me wrist pains.... Maybe because it is smaller and I am trying to grab all sides of it... should i just rest my palm in it???
