Bellamy in the latest episode (SPOILERS)

SPOILERS S3

I think this episode helped me understand Bellamy a lot more than all the previous ones.

The best part was when he tuned out everything ALIE!Raven said. Raven said a few words to Jasper and he's on the verge of snapping, but Bellamy sits there and takes it. Why? Because Bellamy's haunted by his guilt, because ALIE can't say anything to Bellamy that he probably hasn't already said to himself. Bellamy is haunted by his grief, so why doesn't he show it?

Because he won't, he can't, because he's almost fully broken. He's a follower, and he has to follow, he has to, because if someone doesn't tell him what he should be, he'll be forced to face and decide that for himself, and he can't. Octavia lashes out when she's angry, Raven grumbles as she keeps working, Jasper drinks, Clarke cries, but Bellamy never displays his pain. He just sits there and takes it.

He's bottling it up inside, but he's holding it together, in the hopes that someday he will be able to decide for himself who he is.

TL;DR: Bellamy is the silent sufferer of the season. Monty is no longer the cinnamon roll. Bellamy has been appointed.
